Scherzinger Treatment and Services for Bed Bug Infestation
Inspecting and identifying
• Scherzinger technicians will go to the location where a home or business owner thinks there may be bed bugs and inspect for signs.• They will request samples that the customer may have that suggest an infestation: for instance, signs of “resting areas” where bed bugs may be, and they will look for live insects, their fecal material, skin shedding, and blood spots& eggs.
• The technicians will then look at the most likely locations for bed bugs, such as night stands and tables, electrical outlets, mattresses and headboards.
Determine origin of the bed bugs
• If bed bugs are identified, the Scherzinger technician will try to determine where the bed bugs came from to help prevent future infestation.
Scherzinger technicians will inform the customer of the best bed bug treatment program to implement and convey information on chemical treatment and heat treatment (heatigation).
• Chemical treatment, the application of insecticides, requires repeated applications and may be necessary to reach bed bugs located behind the walls or along electrical wiring. Chemical treatment requires multiple treatments every other week.
• Heatigation, heating the areas of infestation, on the other hand, is a one day treatment that eliminates all life stages of the bed bug and entails minimal removal of items at the location.
At the customer’s request, service will be scheduled and the customer will receive instructions needed to prepare the structure for treatment, such as insuring the safety of children and pets.
